Originally founded in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 2019, we have been based in Houston, Texas, since 2021.

Doc John's Hot Sauce was created because Doc John had been struggling under a bland diet after discovering that he had some specific and unusual food allergies that prevented him from eating the vast majority of quality hot sauces. Realizing that everything is better with a little capsaicin in it, Doc John spent months slowly and painstakingly perfecting his recipe until he launched his brand in 2020 to rave reviews.

Therefore, Doc John's has a specific mission statement: to add the highest flavor to any diet and bring hot sauce back into the lives of people with sensitive stomachs. Our sauce is low-FODMAP, vegan, soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, shellfish-free, low-sodium, low-carb, everything but flavor-free! Our sauce is only made with the very highest quality and freshest ingredients available. Every pepper is hand-picked for quality, and we test every batch to ensure it meets our incredibly high standards.

When Doc John is not cooking up Texas' most flavorful hot sauce, he spends his time teaching high school mathematics at a local Houston public school.
